Mosi2 Heater General Description:

 

Mosi2 Heater is one resistance heating component made from MoSi2 or as the basic material. When it's heated to high temperature under the oxidizing atmosphere, one dense MoSi2film will be formed on its surface to protect the element against oxidizing further. Therefore, the element has unique anti-oxidation property under high temperature atmosphere. The highest temperature can reach 1900°℃, the applicable temperature is between 500-1800℃.


Mosi2 Heater Character


Mosi2 Heater is used in the high temperature under oxidizing atmosphere. It will form the SiO2 film which can keep the element from being melted. During the oxidizing process, the SiO2 protecting film is formed again when the element continues to be used. The MoSi2 heating element must not be used in the temperature between 400C and 700C for a long time, otherwise the element will be cremated under the strong oxidizing function in the low temperature.

Oxygen-resistance under high temperature: in oxidizing atmosphere, a layer of compact quartz protective film is formed on the surface of element owing to the high temperature combustion, which prevent Mosi2 from oxidizing more. When the element temperature is higher than 1700 °C, the film becomes melting. It’s not suitable for long time use in the temperature range of 400-700°C, otherwise, the element will be powdering for the strong oxidation under low temperature.
