U Shape MoSi2 Heating Element for 1800℃ (3272°F) Large Capacity Box Furnace

 

General Description:

Molybdenum Disilicide (MoSi2) Heating Element is made of molybdenum disilicide. It has the unique features of high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance. When it is used in high temperature and oxidizing atmosphere, a shining and dense layer of quartz (SiO2) glass membrane generates on the appearance of the MoSi2 heating element, which protects the inner side of the MoSi2 element from being further oxidized.

Chemistry Character
MoSi2 heating element is used in the high temperature under oxidizing atmosphere. It will form the SiO2 film which can keep the element from being melted. During the oxidizing process, the SiO2 protecting film is formed again when the element continues to be used. The MoSi2 heating element must not be used in the temperature between 400C and 700C for a long time, otherwise the element will be cremated under the strong oxidizing function in the low temperature.

 

Following should be provided when ordering U Type MoSi2 Heating Elements:

  • Grade: 1700, 1800 or 1900
  • Diameter: D1/D2, in/in or mm/mm
  • Heated Length: Le*, in. or mm
  • Terminal length: Lu*, in. or mm
  • Shank Spacing: A*, in. or mm
  • Specify Le, Lu and A with the same units (e.g. all as in. or mm).

Examples:

U-Shape, Material Grade 1800, D1=6mm, D2=12mm, Le=180mm, Lu=150mm, A=30mm

Specify as: MS18U, 6/12 x 180 x 150 x 30
