Silicon carbide rods, also known as silicon carbide heating element is the use of high-quality green silicon carbide as the main raw material, the processing system also, high-temperature silicification, recrystallization of rod-shaped non-metallic high-temperature heating components. Compared with the metal heating element, silicon carbon rod has the characteristics of high temperature, anti-oxidation, corrosion resistance, long life, small deformation, easy installation and maintenance. Therefore, silicon carbon rods are widely used in magnetic materials, powder metallurgy, ceramics, glass, metallurgical and mechanical industries such as a variety of high-temperature electric furnace and other electric heating equipment. The ED type is the standard SiC heating element. A high-density self-bonded silicon carbide element, ED type is available in a large range of diameters and lengths.

Silicon carbide rod heating element is a kind of non-metal rod or tube shape high temperature electric heating element. It is made of selected super purity green hexagonal silicon carbide as main material, which is made into blank and silicon crystal under high temperature of 2400ºC. In oxidizing atmosphere, its service temperature can reach 1450°C and continuous use life can reach 2000 hours.

SCR(SGR, SEU) type double-spiral silicon carbide heating elements are cut so as to place both electrical terminations on the same end of the element. They are supplied with the terminal assembly attached. SGR (SCR) type Torch Furnace silicon carbide design or dimensions preclude wiring from both sides of the furnace. This type is ideal for blind holes and the operating temperature can be up to 1500 deg C.

U-shaped silicon heating element is manufactured by taking two carefully-matched SiC rods and welding a thickened silicon carbide bridge. This element provides for wiring both tail ends from one side of the furnace. The tail ends of the cold ends are metallized with aluminum, which can provide a low-resistance contact surface to the aluminum connection straps and clamps.
