Silicon Molybdenum Resistance Heating Elements are high temperature, oxidation resistant heating elements made from molybdenum disilicide. When used in a high temperature oxidizing atmosphere, a dense and bright quartz (SiO2) glass film layer is formed on the surface, which protects the inner layer of the molybdenum silica rod from oxidation, so the molybdenum silica rod element has unique high temperature oxidation resistance.

In the oxidizing atmosphere, the use temperature is 1800 ℃, silicon molybdenum rod electric heating element resistance with the temperature increases rapidly, and when the temperature is unchanged, the resistance value is stable. Under normal circumstances, the resistance of the element does not change with the length of time it is used. It is therefore possible to mix old and new silicon molybdenum rod heating elements.

Depending on the structure, the working atmosphere and the temperature of the heating equipment, the correct selection of the surface load of the heating element is the key to the service life of the silicon molybdenum rod heating element.

    Fields of application

Silicon-molybdenum rod electric heating element products are widely used in metallurgy, steelmaking, glass, ceramics, refractory materials, crystals, electronic components, semiconductor materials, research and production areas, especially for high-performance precision ceramics, high-grade man-made crystals, the production of precision structural metal ceramics, glass fibers, optical fibers and high-grade alloy steel.

Silicon carbon rod is a non-metallic heating element. It is made of high-purity green hexagonal silicon carbide as the main raw material and recrystallized at a high temperature of 2200℃. The normal use temperature can reach 1450℃. Under reasonable use conditions, it can be used continuously for more than 2000 hours. When used in air, it does not need protective atmosphere. It is suitable for all kinds of electric furnaces and kilns.

Silicon molybdenum rods are highly resistant to oxidation. Under high temperature atmosphere, a dense protective layer of quartz SIO2 is formed on the surface of the original to prevent MOSI2 from continuing to oxidize. When the protective layer of SIO2 with a component temperature greater than 1700 degrees and a melting point of 1710 degrees melts, the SIO2 melts into liquid droplets and loses its protective effect due to surface tension. When the device continues to be used in an oxidizing atmosphere, the SIO2 protective layer will be regenerated.

Silicon Carbon Rod Usage: Due to the high temperature of the silicon carbon rod, it is characterized by high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, fast warming, long life, low temperature deformation, easy installation and maintenance. It has good chemical stability.

    Heating element

1600 ℃ furnace heating element is silicon molybdenum rods, silicon molybdenum rod notes

    1. Heating elements of silicon molybdenum rods should not be used in the temperature range of 400℃ to 700℃, so under such unfavorable conditions, the components will suffer from low-temperature oxidation and damage the components.

    2. Heating elements of silicon molybdenum rods are suitable for air and neutral atmospheres. Reducing atmospheres such as hydrogen will destroy the protective layer, while chlorine and sulfur vapors will directly damage the element.
